Hooksett Kiwanis takes pride in providing leadership opportunities to middle and high school children. To help accomplish this, we are very proud to sponsor...

  • Kiwanis Builders Club of 75 members at Cawley Middle School,
  • Kiwanis Builders Club at Hillside Middle School in Manchester with 50 members, 
  • Kiwanis Key Club of 125 members at Manchester Central High School.

Hooksett Kiwanis also sponsors a Hooksett Community Food Pantry and Kid's Kloset where families can receive food and clothing at no cost. Please see tabs at left for additional information about these programs.

The Club's Signature Project is maintaining walking and biking trails at Head's Pond in Hooksett, including resurfacing nearly all of the 1.5 mile Head's Pond Trail from Route 3 to the Great Pond.

The Kiwanis Club of Hooksett meets for dinner on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM at  the function room at New England's Tap House restaurant.  Guests are always welcome. Guest speaker Kris Frank Talks about Organ Donation - 05/17/2018

Thanks to our guest speaker and fellow Kiwanian, Kris Frank, Senior Donation Coordinator for New England Donor Services, we were treated to a moving and eye-opening account of her role in organ donor services. The stories of the lives that are saved by the generosity of organ donors was very touching, giving us all pause to seriously consider becoming an organ donor.

She indicated that we can join the donor registry by visiting DonateLifeNewEngland.org, or if you’re an iPhone user, you can register right from the native Health App.

Hooksett Kiwanis Honored with Distinguished Club Award - 05/06/2018

Kiwanis International  has awarded the Hooksett Kiwanis the Distinguished Club Award for 2016-2017. Due to the rigorous criteria for a club's eligibility for this award, only 11 clubs (7.5%) in New England & Bermuda achieved this distinguished status last year. Congratulations are in order to the immediate Past President, Todd Rainier, and to the entire club for receiving this award!

On April 3, nearly 200 gathered in the Conference Dining Center at Southern NH University to honor several Hooksett Community Leaders. The event was sponsored and organized by the Hooksett Kiwanis Foundation. Doris Labbe served as emcee. Recipients and presenters were as follows:

Amanda Grappone Osmer, fourth generation CEO of the Grappone Auto Group, spoke to a capacity crowd at the Hooksett Kiwanis meeting on April 18 at New England’s Tap House Grille. She is a down-to-earth young woman leading a multi-million-dollar organization with 340 employees, whom she refers to as “Team Members”. She provided a brief history of her family’s involvement in the auto business, starting with the gas station opened by her great grandparents, Rocco and Emmanuelle Grappone in 1924. Georgette Peltak welcomed back to Hooksett Kiwanis Family!! - 03/21/2018

At our March 21st dinner meeting Georgette Peltak was warmly welcomed back into the Hooksett Kiwanis Family by Barry Cogan, our current President, after having taken a hiatus from the Club due to family commitments. She was the 100th member of the Manchester Kiwanis Club back in the 90s when she made Manchester her home and was inducted by our very own Fred Bishop. She is currently serving as co-advisor to the nascient Key Club at Pinkerton Academy and is looking forward to being part of Hooksett Kiwanis once again.

With his skills as a published author and extensive background in journalism and community services, Will is a natural exponent of the Stay Work Play NH mission which focuses on working "collaboratively across New Hampshire to support ongoing economic, workforce, and community development by promoting the State as a favorable place for young workers and recent college graduates to stay, work and play, when considering employment and lifestyle opportunities."

Big CONGRATS and BEST WISHES to The Girl Scouts of Troop 10085 who are to receive Hooksett's Community Impact 2018 Award on April 3rd at the Hooksett Kiwanis annual Community Leaders Banquet.

The Girl Scouts of Troop 10085 are High School Juniors who have been together since Kindergarten. In addition to working hard in High School, participating in activities such as band, sports, and working part-time jobs, they have provided outstanding service to our community.
