2016 Hooksett Kiwanis Open Golf Tournament

Nearly 120 players competed in perfect hot summer weather in the 20th Annual Hooksett Kiwanis Foundation Golf Tournament held on July 15th at Canterbury Woods Golf Country Club. Hitting the first drive was special guest Dale Hemeon, who started the tournament 20 years ago. Another VIP was NE Kiwanis Governor-elect Bill Jenkins who left Cape Cod  at the crack of dawn to be there. The day was filled with many fun activities including an air cannon shot, 50 foot putting contest, longest drive and several others. Format was a best ball scramble using a shot gun start.  “Mullys and strings helped players to improve their position on the green. The 2016 Tournament Champion was the Central Hooksett Water Precinct team, consisting of Bill Alois, Moe Beauchesne, Rick Hecker and Chris Philippy.

Placing second was the team of George Aubin, Sam Aubin, Richard Tombs and Nicole Tombs, and finishing third was the team of Ron Dion, Carla Gallivan, Brad Largy and Garry Largy
