Hooksett Kiwanian David Dickson - Featured Speaker at Dinner Meeting - 06/20/2018
news image

Fellow Kiwanian, Dave Dickson, was the featured speaker at our June 20th dinner meeting. Dave recently spent some time in the Phillippines, and his experience of the country, including its customs, economic practices, landscape and historical landmarks provided the engaging subject for his evening presentation.

He was quick to remind us of how much the Phillippines is still in many respects a "Third World" country, in spite of its economic gains in the larger cities, like Manila, lacking many basic amenities that we take for granted. news image

Thanks to our guest speaker and fellow Kiwanian, Kris Frank, Senior Donation Coordinator for New England Donor Services, we were treated to a moving and eye-opening account of her role in organ donor services. The stories of the lives that are saved by the generosity of organ donors was very touching, giving us all pause to seriously consider becoming an organ donor.

She indicated that we can join the donor registry by visiting, or if you’re an iPhone user, you can register right from the native Health App.
